COMMUNITY NEWS
We offer a wide variety of activities at our communities. Below are just a few examples of the fun we are having at White Pine, Comforts of Home and Gracewood Senior Living.
Gracewood of Hugo
/The residents and staff of Gracewood said a fond farewell to Sister Mary. Sister Mary’s last day with us was Monday, November 19th. She faithfully came to play piano for us every Monday. Many of her family members joined us to say goodbye. Sister Mary is following the Lord’s call to move to Northern Minnesota. We wish her all the best!
Gracewood of Hugo-Veteran's Day Program
/Representatives from St. Croix Hospice presented a Veteran’s Day program at Gracewood of Hugo on Tuesday, Nov. 11th. They presented each Veteran with a certificate. They also read a veteran’s day poem and said a few words about veteran’s day. The St. Croix Hospice music therapist played patriotic music on the piano for us and many residents sang along. We concluded the afternoon with treats and beverages.
White Pine of Mendota Heights-Food Drive
/We are hosting a food drive here from November 17-December 22. Non perishables can be dropped off at our address.
Gracewood of Hugo-Fall Celebration
/The Fall Celebration at Hugo was held on October 30th. Festivities included a visit from a miniature therapy horse. The horse did a demonstration and the residents all had a chance to pet the horse. The evening concluded with a dinner with family members and a fabulous sing-a-long with Kelly Rogstad.
Gracewood of North Branch-Carnival
/Happy November! Gracewood in North Branch has had quite a flurry of activity lately. We had a fall carnival – and did we have fun! Over 100 kids and adults filled our building! We had games, clowns, good music by Mike Larson, a bouncy house, and we even had a fishing game with real fish for prizes! One of our residents had 15 family members join in the fun! The kids were smiling ear to ear and even with clown noses on! We hope that you have a month filled with bushels of blessings and a Happy Thanksgiving. Stop in to visit our building sometime. We’ll have the coffee on.
