We offer a wide variety of activities at our communities. Below are just a few examples of the fun we are having at White Pine, Comforts of Home and Gracewood Senior Living.
Gracewood of Hugo residents spent an afternoon having a blast at a beach party on the patio. They enjoyed sipping fruit smoothies, kicking around beach balls, and blowing bubbles. We also brought out the giant parachute and bounced mini beach balls around on it. It was a very fun and busy afternoon!
A Surprise for Inver Grove Heights
We are so excited to announce we are the First to have a Chapel. We were able to set this up overnight; and surprised our residents with this gift in the morning. Wow, what a surprise! We had most of our residents in shock from how happy this made them. We are so lucky to have this opportunity. Please feel free to stop by and check us out. We cannot believe that it is already August! The summer has been filled with music, crafts, fishing, and grilling out! Feel free to join us this coming Thursday at 2PM for happy hour and polka music with Al Pechacek! We will be enjoying drinks and snacks and hope to see you and your dance moves there!
July was a blast at White Pine in White Bear Lake. We kicked off the month with the 4th of July BBQ and Pontoon rides around White Bear Lake. Come join us in August for lots of laughs and State Fair Fun!
Ten young ladies from a Summer Blast program from a local church volunteered for a morning at Gracewood. The girls separated into three groups. One group colored summer pictures with the residents, another group put together large floor puzzles at a table with residents. The last group played a variety of large group games such as bowling and horseshoe. The favorite game was hitting a balloon back and forth to each other and keeping it off the floor.
Children from a local sign language camp visited the residents of Gracewood the end of June. They taught the residents simple sign language words such as please and thank you. The children also sang familiar Bible songs with sign language. They also brought puppets and used them to help visit with the residents.
